This element provides
the means to control access to critical network applications,
data, and services so that only legitimate users and information
can pass through the network. Routers and switches with
access control lists and/or stateful firewalling, as well
as dedicated firewall appliances provide this control.
However, simply purchasing a perimeter security system
and creating a one-time configuration is not enough. Experts
must be able to monitor and interpret information provided
by this system in order to insure a proactive, not reactive,
response to risks. Also, the perimeter system must be
able to be quickly reconfigured to meet the needs of changing
networks.
Tritel can provide your company's perimeter security solution
in stages ranging from providing the hardware and tools
for a self-managed configuration, to remote monitoring
of previously implemented systems. Tritel can also provide
a total managed perimeter where the firewall, monitoring,
and configuration changes are all housed and maintained
at our redundant Network Operation Centers.
Perimeter security is also used in controlling the content
incoming and outgoing data. Tritel provides several services
to accomplish this including virus scanning, email blocking,
and web and email content filtering. Again, these solutions
can be provided as a self-maintained configuration, or
a total managed service. |
